Stuff the Bus!!

This Sunday, November 6th, a school bus will be parked at the Ebensburg Wal-Mart.  Our goal is to stuff the bus full of supplies to support the Central Cambria Special Deliveries Backpack Project.  The project provides food to students who need it on the weekends.  A flyer will be distributed at the bus listing items that are being collected.  Our backpack program serves approximately 100 Central Cambria students in grades K-8.  We thank you in advance for your support of the program.

Operation Support Our Soldiers

At the end of October, the 8th grade students began collecting items that will be donated to our military personnel overseas, in conjunction with their Flight 93 unit.  Operation S.O.S. (Support Our Soldiers) is looking for donations in preparation of the 420 care packages that they will be sending out to military personnel for Christmas.  These items will be sent to Fort Sill, Okla., where soldiers in the 3rd Battalion 2nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment will be stationed after returning home from Asia.  Donations of any of the following items are greatly appreciated:

Toiletry Items:  Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, hand or body lotion, Q-tips (small packs), shampoo, non-aerosol sunscreen

Food Items:  Microwave popcorn, cereal bars, pop tarts, gum, life savers, hard candy, boxes of hot chocolate, boxes of tea bags

Miscellaneous Items:  Crossword books, Sodoku books, books (novels or short stories), magazines, playing cards, Ziploc sandwich bags, tissues (small packs)

Donations will be accepted through Thursday November 17th.  Thank you in advance for supporting this project.

Holiday Meal Food Drive

HOLIDAY MEAL PROJECT 2016
**This project provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to families.**

From November 1st through November 8th, CCMS Student Council is teaming up with the Ebensburg Woman’s Club and the Saint Vincent DePaul’s Ebensburg Food Pantry to conduct its annual Holiday Meal Project.  Each homeroom teacher has been provided with a list of items to create a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal and a white collection bag (in mailbox).  The homeroom that collects a complete meal and the most items will win a 9th period gym day.

On the list of items, the donation of $5.00 will be graciously accepted, but not counted towards the homeroom competition as we don't want to make students feel uncomfortable for not being able to bring in such money.
CCMS Student Council members will collect the bags on Tuesday, November 8th during 9th period.
The Food Pantry will be picking up middle school and high school collections on the morning of Monday, November 14th.
